Swartfontein Game & Adventure Lodge is situated within the Namib Spreethoogte Private Nature Reserve, 180 km south-west of Windhoek, at the summit of the Spreethoogte Pass, overlooking a landscape of breathtaking and majestic beauty.
Swartfontein serves as an ideal stopover for travelers heading to and from Sossusvlei, Maltahöhe, and the Coast. Its proximity to Windhoek makes it a perfect spot for an exciting yet tranquil weekend immersed in nature, where guests can experience the serenity and solitude of expansive landscapes alongside the warm, inviting atmosphere of a true home.
The Swartfontein Staff will welcome you to 10 double Rooms with en‐suite bathrooms.
Olaf and Inka Brell welcome their guests in an old farmhouse environment, built at the beginning of this century by a German soldier. The guesthouse can accommodate up to 20 guests. Electricity and hot water are available 24 hours a day thanks to energy collected by the solar panels. Wi-Fi is also available at the Lodge.
What to do at Swartfontein
The 8000 ha of Swartfontein Game and Adventure Lodge is a private Nature Reserve since 1999. We will do everything to preserve the very fragile ecosystem of the pro- Namib area, to which the Reserve belongs. It is their earnes hope and endeavour to transform this beautiful piece of Afrika into a totally ecologically sound environment.
